This year Liberty Web Marketing of Waukesha celebrates its third year of being a successful website design and development company. As web developers we have been performing web-based, internet orientated services, testing and experiments for over five years. We launched our business in 2010 to offer more affordable web solutions for Waukesha area clients. We provide web solutions that serve the best interests of our clients, not our profit margin.
So far…
To date 2013 has been the most eventful year in the three short years since the business began operating. The phone has been ringing off the hook and we have analyzed many, many websites. 99% of these potential clients are either looking for a new look, their website has tanked in Google due to changes to their search engine algorithms, or both. I’m happy to report that all of our clients are VERY satisfied with our services, especially with the results in their rankings since we took over their website. We offer nothing less.
disturbed findings…
I have to admit that I am appalled at the quality of some of the websites being developed by my competitors. Things such as terrible navigation hierarchy, layout, and the overall speed of some of these websites is horrendous! I can’t help but to ask potential new clients how much they paid for their website, and their answers truly bother me. I’m not surprised to hear some of these numbers; it’s the reason we launched Liberty Web Marketing in Waukesha.
Where the Rubber meets the Road:
As the title of this post “What Most Web Developers Won’t Tell You” states, there is much more to a website than its looks.
Granted, having an appealing website is crucial and we take great care to ensure that each of our designs meet or exceed client expectations, but there’s more to it. This is where the rubber meets the road.
Speed
In addition to an appealing design, a website must be fast. In order to accomplish this there are several factors that come in to play. Graphics size and the way images are served to web browsers is important when it comes to page load speed. Further, the navigation hierarchy impacts the speed of websites too. Most web developers will not share this information with you because they only want to satisfy your desire for “looks”.
Other elements of website speed include the framework in which the site operates, as well as the server where the files are delivered to the framework. Without proper server speed and framework interaction, a website is going to function poorly and that means the site will suffer across the grid.
Brand
Your website should have its unique brand integrated into it. Whether you sell nuts & bolts, or if you design artistic renderings, you need a brand and you need to market that brand.
Content
A website needs content and lots of it. Content is essential in delivering facts and information to search engines so they know what your website is about. The content must be original, and it must focus on your “brand”! The optimal pages size should contain a minimum of 300 words if possible.
Responsive Design
Stated simply your website needs to be mobile responsive for smart phones and iPads. Liberty Web Marketing integrates responsive design into all their websites to better serve our customers and their clients’ needs. Read why responsive design matters.
Conclusion
Most web developers will not tell you these things, nor will they take the initiative to integrate them into your website when they develop it. Why? The answer may be that they don’t know themselves, or they want more money to do more work.
At Liberty Web Marketing we employ ethical web development practices that serve the best interests of our clients. We design sites that run fast, rank well in search results, and serve their purpose of driving traffic and sales to businesses. We bring success to the internet.
