Last night people of all ages and from all walks of life headed for downtown Waukesha for the debut of the Waukesha GuitarTown Waukesha Project. For months the GuitarTown Project has been in the works by various people, business owners, and individuals working behind the scenes. City officials, local artists, and people whose only interest in the success of the GuitarTown Project is securing the legacy of Les Paul while vitalizing Waukesha’s downtown through the spirit of Les Paul.
As the home town of Les Paul, Waukesha was chosen earlier this year as one of the eight guitar town projects worldwide. Many people think that the Waukesha project is special because of the fact that Waukesha is both the home town and resting place of Les Paul. The significance of this is that Les Paul is considered the father of the solid-body electric guitar, also known as the “Gibson Les Paul”.
As a local internet marketing consultant and web design expert, I have personally taken the initiative of helping to market this event, as well as designing and launching the Home of Les Paul website as a resource for the Waukesha GuitarTown project.
